  A glowing night scene of the famous Miyajima Torii, a major Shinto shrine. This, one of Hasui's most beautiful night scenes, is a favorite location for both native Japanese and tourists. During high tide, the great Torii looks like it is floating on the sea.
  
  The image is rich in blues with a few sharp points of contrast from the yellow glow of the ancient stone lanterns.
  
  A sense of total silence prevails.
