• About the Art 

  Mishima Pass in Kai Province is one of the incredible prints which is so intricately portrayed by Katsushika Hokusai capturing the eye-soothing partial appearance of Mount Fuji from Mishima pass. This woodblock print depicts the spectacular ambiance that has a classical specialty having an amazing triple colored Fuji with an enormous tree trunk.

  Hokusai has brilliantly portrayed this print having a view of Fuji from Mishima pass where a group of travelers is resting after having a long and tiring traveling. He also has highlighted the huge tree in the mountainous area with an atmosphere of three people hugging the enormous trunk which shows the gigantic view of it. The white-colored flying clouds create a heavenly view complementing the pine trees portrayed with e deeper shade of green color which makes this print exquisite.

  Hokusai so spectacularly painted this masterwork by capturing the stunning view of Mount Fuji and the large tree surrounded by a group of travelers with a lively touch which has the sheer capability to attract the eyes of the spectators.
