• About the Art 

  Katsushika Hokusai's milestone creation, Shichiri Beach in Sagami Province is one of the famous woodblock prints from his renowned book Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji depicting the exquisiteness of an amazing ambiance embracing the utmost beauty of nature.

  This amazing woodblock print epitomizes the topographical view of the Shichiri Beach which is so nicely tinted with the Prussian blue color along with orange, green, and white. Hokusai has brilliantly highlighted the landscape with an amazing view of Mount Fuji which is partially covered with the long bunches of trees standing in front of it. The orange ray of the sun complementing the white cloud is so intricately tinted with the horizontal lining of dark blue color. With the backdrop of Fuji, Hokusai has portrayed some baby pines and a distant view of residence in the foreground of the scenario which makes the outlook of the landscape so marvelous.
